The Six Lakes: an afternoon by the water

Wambachsee, Masurensee and Wolfssee are part of the Sechs-Seen-Platte, or Six Lakes area. Waterside paths suit walks and cycling; Wolfssee has a public lido. Spend an afternoon exploring, then return to your own villa. Access to the lake at the house is separate from these facilities and does not automatically permit swimming or water sports. Check local rules and seasonal services before visiting.

Sportpark Wedau and Duisburg’s regatta course

Sportpark Duisburg includes the regatta course and other sporting facilities. Visitors attending a regatta or competition can combine it with nights together at the Lakehouse. Four bedrooms accommodating up to ten overnight guests make this a shared home rather than ten individual hotel rooms. Agree on the sleeping arrangements within your group, then check your full travel dates in the calendar.

Industrial heritage at Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord

Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord brings culture and recreation to a former ironworks. It offers a different side of the Ruhr region to the lakes in the south. Plan it as a separate outing; it is not immediately beside the house. Check current events and accessible areas before visiting. Photography or film productions away from our property require any permissions from the respective venue operators.

Düsseldorf, DUS airport and trade fair visits

Your villa is in Duisburg, not on the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds or in Düsseldorf city centre. Check your actual route and allow extra time for flights, stand setup and busy exhibition days. If the calendar permits, extend your trip with quiet days by the water. Our trade fair accommodation page explains planning for teams travelling together.

A location for Düsseldorf and Ruhr-region productions

The Bauhaus architecture, pool and living spaces offer settings for photographers, models, videographers and production teams. Shoots, music videos, meetings and selected events need separate planning and prices. Nearby attractions are not included in our location hire. A stay at the house does not include permission to hold a production or event.

Location and planning questions

Is the Lakehouse at Messe Düsseldorf?

No. The villa is in southern Duisburg. Düsseldorf and the exhibition grounds are separate destinations; check your route and traffic before travelling.

Are the pool and the lake the same swimming facility?

No. The heated pool belongs to the house. Lakes have their own access, swimming and conservation rules; lake access does not automatically allow swimming.

Can I extend a sporting or trade fair visit into a holiday?

Yes, if the calendar has suitable nights. Select your full dates and guest count to check the total price and booking conditions.

Does a holiday booking include a shoot?

No. Overnight stays and location hire are separate booking routes. Shoots, filming, meetings and events have their own quotations and use conditions.

Plan a stay around your group

For a weekend with family or friends, combine an outing with time in the private heated pool, sauna or beside the fireplace. On longer stays, alternate nature and city days rather than travelling again each morning. You book the entire villa with four bedrooms for up to ten overnight guests. The calendar shows the total for your chosen nights and actual guest count, including the fees and conditions displayed during booking.
